HOW TO UPDATE YOUR DEVICE DRIVERS

Steps to find out if any drivers of your pc/lappie has an update.........
                                (WORKS FOR XP n VISTA)

* there are 2 ways to perform this function: AUTOMATICALLY n MANUALLY....

AUTOMATIC METHOD

1>. Firstly, if you don't wanna search every time, if your drivers have an update,
      enable "AUTOMATIC UPDATES"......
To enable this, perform the following steps......

(i).  Open Windows Update by clicking the "Start" button , clicking "All Programs",
                And  then clicking "Windows Update".

(this will connect to  the MS site....don't worry if u have an original copy of the OS....
LOLZZZZZZZ.....don worry, it doesn't really matters!!!!)

(ii). In the left pane, click "Check for updates".

(iii). To see if updated drivers are available, click "View available updates".
Windows Update will list any updated drivers that are available for devices
                  installed in your computer.

(iv). If updates are available, click the driver that you want to install, and then click "Install".
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password
                 or provide confirmation.

 MANUAL METHOD

2>. Now if u r a pro n have fear of revealing your personal info. to the MS server(like me !!!), den
       choose the "MANUAL METHOD"....

     There are two cases:
*you know which of your drivers have updates, n
         *offcourse, when u don know......!!!!

                  IN BOTH THE CASES......

@ just search the web or go to your manufacturer's site....
for eg. >If u have an HP laptop just go their site: www8.hp.com/in/en/home.html
n fill the required info to see if u have an update......
similarily search for any other company.....

(AN EXAMPLE ON HOW TO UPDATE YOUR DISPLAY/GRAPHICS DRIVER......)

If u don have any idea about the current name n version of your graphics/display driver, then just
follow the below steps:

a).go to START>RUN> type DXDIAG>go to the DISPLAY tab
b).here collect the information regarding your driver's NAME n MANUFACTURER.
c).Now search the details in google about the above drivers using their NAME/MANUFACTURER.
FOR EG.... if the manufacturer name is ATI Technologies...just type this name or, directly
                         go to : www.amd.com
> den find the relevant details about your drivers n update if necessary by just downloading it.....

(HOPE THIS DOC ANSWERS ALL THE QUESTIONS REGARDING UPDATING THE DRIVERS
, FOLLOW THE SAME STEPS TO UPDATE ANY DRIVER. n if still u have a problem, follow the
above steps from (a) to (c) and den post the name and manufacturer of your device....we'll try to give u the direct link of your drivers.....)

{Itz a good habit to turn the "AUTOMATIC UPDATES ON" to do this.....go to
CONTROL PANEL>SECURTY CENTER n dere enable automatic updates.....}
