HTC T6 to be the One with a bigger screen?

Rumor has it that a bigger brother to the One codenamed HTC T6 may be on its way to the market with a much larger screen offering as compared to the company’s most recent 4.7-inch flagship. Not only this, it has also been said that the smartphone’s display size will measure more than 5 inches, but less than 6 inches.
While the UltraPixel-packing handset stands to be quite a stiff competition to the Galaxy S4, the purported device is said to go up against Samsung’s gadgets touting magnanimous displays like those from the Note series, most likely the N7100 which shows off a 5.5-inch screen. We cannot say how true this piece of news is, although considering that the famous Twitter account called @evleaks has revealed the phone’s moniker, we might as well give it the benefit of the doubt.

From what can be gathered, the interiors of the smartphone may welcome the same components that are seen in the One. Guess we could expect a similar quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a 2,300mAh battery to be present. With predictions of the flagship’s shrunken version supposedly christened M4, floating around, it looks like the Taiwanese manufacturer wishes to extend the benefits of the One to people hailing from diverse sectors.

Champ vs champ

At one point, HTC made the best Android smartphone; at another, Samsung held that title. The mobile giants step back into the ring for another round, as JavedAnwer referees the fight between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.

If you are using a smartphone older than one year and feel you need better performance and features, both Galaxy S4 and HTC One are good options.

The Galaxy S4 boasts some nifty software features. For example, Multi-window allows users to work on two apps in a single screen. Not all apps support this feature, but it's available for a few important ones such as Gmail, Chrome, Twitter, Messages and Youtube. Then there's Dual Shot, which allows a user to superimpose his stamp-sized image taken from the front camera on a scene shot with the rear camera. S Health is another feature that stands out. It allows a user to monitor his physical activity like walking or jogging throughout the day, and also shows the actual temperature and humidity in his surroundings. However, some features don't work as consistently as we would have liked, such as Air View, which allows a user to preview images without even touching the screen, and Air Gesture, which allows a user to take a call with a swiping gesture above the device. Still, the features that work are enough to make the S4 a more useful and handy device than other smartphones. Besides, the S4 allows for interchangeable batteries and expandable memory via a microSD card.

No Nexus 5 but Nexus 4 White-Washed at Google I/O: June 10

Googlers have gotten their hands on a new incarnation of the Nexus 4 in white/ivory that a white knight for pure Google fans.
There's glitter in the background of the ivory-colored Nexus 4 cases seen at Google I/O.  Although Google has not announced it, the Nexus 4 will apparently come in Ivory, with the same internal specs of the black Nexus 4.
The snowy-white Nexus 4 will reportedly be released on June 10, according "to word on the street" or four weeks from today on the Google Play Store.

The Nexus 4 has high specs at low price, unlocked, without LTE data.

Blackberry expands BBM chat app to Android and iOS

The Blackberry Messenger (BBM) app is to be offered as a download to run on rival platforms.

Blackberry said it would initially offer texts, photo messages and group sharing functions on devices running Google's Android and Apple's iOS operating systems from "the summer".
It added it planned to roll out screen sharing, voice and video calls - all without charge - later in the year.
The move could prove disruptive to Skype, Whatsapp and other rivals.
Blackberry chief executive Thorsten Heins revealed the surprise news at the end of his presentation at the firm's annual developers conference in Orlando, Florida.
The company said that more than 60 million Blackberry owners already used BBM at least once a month.
But Mr Heins played down the idea that offering the feature to rival devices would harm sales of the Canadian company's own handsets.
"You might ask the question why is Blackberry doing this now," said Mr Heins.
