11 Tips for Safe Online Shopping

  • Cyber Monday
Let's face it, there's every reason in the world to shop online. The bargains are there. The selection is mind-boggling. The shopping is secure. Shipping is fast. Even returns are pretty easy, with the right e-tailers. It's a golden age for not going to the store, yet buying more than ever.
But since the average person will spend almost $700 this season (according to the National Retail Federation, or NRF) and the number of phishing scam sites that resemble e-commerce companies has more than tripled from just July to September of 2010 according to IID's Third Quarter Phishing Trends Report, that means there's so many more chances you could accidentally hand over data to the wrong guy. A busy holiday season is only going to mean even more attempts at stealing your money and your identity.
You're already a step up in safety by shopping online—there's no way for you to leave behind a credit card or wallet that way—but you could still run into trouble. We live in a password-driven world, where between four and 20 characters are the difference makers in whether you're able to access your data, communicate with friends, or make your online purchases. The problem is that passwords should be different everywhere you use them, and that can make it difficult to remember them all. And, if a password is truly strong, that makes it even more difficult. That's why we've put together this helpful password guide. Follow these tips and tricks to take total control of your terms for access.

Common Problems with Passwords
Use Different Passwords Everywhere
Why would you do this when it's so easy to just type "fido" at every password prompt? Here's why: If "fido" gets cracked once, it means the person with that info now has access to all of your online accounts. A study by BitDefender showed that 75 percent of people use their e-mail password for Facebook, as well. If that's also your Amazon or PayPal password and it's discovered, say good-bye to some funds, if not friends.

Choosing The Right Platform: Intel or AMD

The process of building a new rig always brings to mind a very common dilemma- Intel or AMD, as a platform to build on. Both are really great brands which are often engaged in a royal kind of tug of war! Both insist on having a better product than the other or make ever-so-slight changes in order to get performance advantages to tip in their scale! You might have noticed that Intel processor and supported motherboards are much more expensive than the AMD ones, even though sometimes AMD processors offer seemingly better features in same price range. Here, you’re going to see how you can confidently and coolly make that oh-so-important choice between AMD and Intel.
Selecting a platform always comes down to two major things- the primary factor being how much you wish to cough up for that particular processor platform, and the other being what you intend to use your new PC for!

The year 2012 saw quite a few really major events. What with the mass hysteria over the end of the world, almost every launch was equally (if not more dramatic) than the anticipation of the apocalypse. The launch of the iPhone5, the Samsung Galaxy SIII, the war of the patents and much much more, truly made it a year full of surprises, disappointments, and thrill. And now, 2013 shyly makes an entry. Aaah, a new year a new beginning, some new year resolutions (don’t even try asking how many megapixels now :p ) and of course, a to-do list for the year ! Here’s a list of 2013 most anticipated gadgets !

Nokia Starts International Roll-Out of Windows Phone 8 Update – Portico!

The international roll-out of Portico – the first over-the-air Windows Phone 8 update – began on Friday for Nokia Lumia 920 and 820. The update is more or less the same as the one that first started rolling out for HTC’s Windows Phone 8X and AT&T’s Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 back in December 2012.

    [Rumour]Windows Phone 7.8 Update : 31st January

“Where is my Windows 7.8 update ? Where is my Windows 7.8 update ?” Windows Phones’ online forums have been buzzing with this very question off late. Well, it’s been a heck of a time for early backers of Microsoft’s Windows Phone. First they find out they’re not getting Windows Phone 8 (despite hints to the contrary), then the consolation prize, Windows Phone 7.8, takes forever to materialise.
However, there’s light at the end of the tunnel, Windows Phone 7.8 update will be here by the end of the month. Although Microsoft itself has been officially mum on when the Windows Phone 7.8 update will go out to the masses, the end of January is coming into focus as the target date.
On the face of it, Windows Phone 7.8 is a minor update bringing only the ability to use three different size tiles on the Start screen, reflecting the Windows Phone 8 paradigm in addition to some smaller, device specific enhancements. But based on user experience, we know that the windows phone 7.8 update really does make a difference in perception, making older devices feel more modern.

HTC M7 live images, render leaked; gives us first real look at Sense 5.0

    HTC M7

It’s that special time again. The Mobile World Congress looms, and HTC fans wonder what design philosophy they’ll live with for the next year. Earlier today, AndroidPolice reported that a helpful tipster provided them with real images of something that more than likely is the rumored HTC M7.  Arriving at MWC 2013 in Barcelona, the HTC M7 is still an enigma, but now thanks to today’s leaks; we have a fair idea of what the phone’s actually going to look like.
The design appears to take some inspiration from the Droid DNA, although the different front camera and rear flash positions that suggest it’s not a carbon copy. On the software side, the M7 appears to be running Sense 5.0, and screenshots of the same suggest a major redesign.

Protecting Your Computer from Unwelcome Intruders.

When you’re online, you expose your vulnerability to malicious virus that have been growing in virulence and ferocity over the last few years. These program codes have gone beyond mere annoyances with the worst kinds disabling your PC, but they have become portals for remotely perpetuating more sinister activity that can clandestinely hack into sites, mount denial of services or steal confidential and personal data for fraudulent financial gain at your expense.

Finally, the iPhone we've always wanted

The good: The iPhone 5 adds everything we wanted in the iPhone 4S: 4G LTE, a longer, larger screen, free turn-by-turn navigation, and a faster A6 processor. Plus, its top-to-bottom redesign is sharp, slim, and feather-light.
The bad: Apple Maps feels unfinished and buggy; Sprint and Verizon models can't use voice and data simultaneously. The smaller connector renders current accessories unusable without an adapter. There's no NFC, and the screen size pales in comparison to jumbo Android models.
The bottom line: The iPhone 5 completely rebuilds the iPhone on a framework of new features and design, addressing its major previous shortcomings. It's absolutely the best iPhone to date, and it easily secures its place in the top tier of the smartphone universe.
The iPhone 5 is the iPhone we've wanted since 2010, adding long-overdue upgrades like a larger screen and faster 4G LTE in a razor-sharp new design. This is the iPhone, rebooted.
The new design is flat-out lovely, both to look at and to hold, and it's hard to find a single part that hasn't been tweaked from the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 is at once completely rebuilt and completely familiar.

10 iPhone accessories that you can live without

Whenever a new technology / product comes out, it is evident that accessory manufactures have a field day coming up with ideas to accessorize the product. And if the product is highly successful in market, needless to say, these guys earn their share of buck too. Well iPhone is one such market for which the market is swarmed with accessories. Accessories the you’ll want/need  is the first category. And there is yet another categories that you think you might want but will forever be shelved if you ever get them. So here goes my list of 10 accessories that you must absolutely not consider buying. There may be some exceptions (which I have mentioned in the list), but otherwise, trust me, you don’t need these!

    More power, less pocket space

Lot of Android Jelly Bean tips, tricks and hints

JELLY BEANS may not be the same huge leap forward as Ice Cream Sandwich, but it still brings a lot of new features and functionality to the operating system.
Many of these are improvements to the smoothness of rendering on the device - it even briefly boosts the CPU when the screen's turned on to make things super slick and speedy. Google dubs these little performance and software improvements as being "buttery", assumedly referring to some nice spreadable Lurpak rather than a solidified hunk of congealed milk.
The other big addition here is Google Now. This adds personalised recommendations and information based on your browsing history. Some people love its perceptive usefulness, others hate its pervy, intrusive nature.
One thing's for sure though: the Siri-like voice search feature is awesome.
As ever, these tips are based on the vanilla installation of Android, so your mileage may vary depending on how many layers of extra "features" have been added by your phone or tablet's manufacturer.

    1. Say "Google" to search

If you're in America, you can open Google Now and say "Google" followed by your query to search the net. If you're not in America, you can trick Android into thinking you are. Open the settings on your device, choose "Language and input", then switch Google Voice Typing's language from "Automatic" to "English (US)". Next go to Google Now's settings and again change the language to "English (US)". You should see "Search or say Google" in Now's search bar. Faking an American accent: optional.

    Cracking Windows User Account Password

In Windows OS Passwords are Stored and Transmitted in an encrypted form called a Hash. When a User logs on to a system and enters a password, a hash is generated and compared to a stored hash. If the entered and the stored hashes match, the user is authenticated (This is called the Challenge/Response). This is stored in a file named SAM.

By Default IDM will be allowed to be used for free for 30 days only... Then you will be asked for Registration. Well either you are too poor or dont want to spend money. So all you will do is ask in groups and pm pages to give you the crack, but what you dont know is what happens behind the scene. Sometimes the cracks, patches are BACKDOORED (they contain malicious files which are harmful for your system, they contain keyloggers and stuffs... ).. After You add them to the host file, save the host file. Now Register with any of the serials below. For the Name , email etc put in anything but when asked to enter serial Number Put in any from Below :)

Now Some Windows 7 users will have trouble saving the file so u need to take Ownership.

To take the ownership you must run host file as a admin.
