A119 Signature HD launched: Will it outperform A116 Canvas HD?

Though marred with supply issues, it is without doubt that the Micromax A116 Canvas HD is hugely popular and ‘in demand’. Celkon has this week launched a 5 inch marvel sporting the name A119 Signature HD which has a 1280 by 720 screen resolution which is same as that of the Canvas HD by Micromax.

The phone is today available at Snapdeal (the same website where the Canvas HD was available for pre-order) at the same price of Rs 13499 at which the Canvas HD was launched. The price of Canvas HD has been since revised to Rs 14499 and is still meeting availability issues in the market.

The Celkon model is a feature packed model and at a price difference of Rs 1000 will it be able to offer any competition to the best-selling Micromax 5 incher.

Now that you have read all the specifications, you would clearly see almost similar specs with a thinner but heavier (by 21 grams) phone.  Celkon has a 12 megapixel camera which might be the reason of its slightly being on the heavier side. There is also a better front camera in the A119 Signature HD. The only point where the Celkon phone will get beaten is the processor- it is just a dual-core one, which is decently fast unless you compare it to the Quad-core competitor from Micromax. Also there is no supporting graphics processor for a faster performance. The Celkon one seems a better option since the supply of Micromax phone has been delayed.
