The device in question is expected to be the Aakash 3, considering that the official website has it tagged as a ‘recommendation’ for the same.
Ice Cream Sandwich is the chosen OS for this affordable device. Keeping things up and running is a Cortex A8 processor that possesses a clock speed of 1GHz. It is coupled with 512MB of RAM which assists it in multitasking. If users feel that the 4GB of internal memory won’t suffice, they can always insert a microSD card with up to 32GB of capacity for further expansion. The 3200mAh battery should allow a usage time of about 4 hours when connected to WLAN.
The 7-inch capacitive display spurts out visuals at a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Just one camera dwells on the slate and it is seated on the front panel. The lens can be used for capturing memories in the form of pictures and videos. The device also consists of a G-sensor and a 3.5mm jack that facilitates hands-free usage. Sadly, Bluetooth and GPS modules haven’t been implemented within the device.
